Time stopped. The guitar and piano played and a beautiful voice came over the crowd. It was a simple worship song to praise God for his faithfulness, but in that moment, right in the middle of the ceremony, the clouds opened up behind Brissa and Lenny and shot rays of light over the entire wedding scene It looked like Mufasa shining through the clouds in The Lion King. God was shining his favor, His grace, and His deep love for this marriage as Lenny and Brissa vowed their undying love to each other.

There’s nothing more beautiful than a flowing white gown and a handsome suit worn by two beautiful hearts who deeply love each other and everyone around them. This made the entire day special and sweet. It was non-stop hugs, laughter, dancing and joy. Pure bliss for both the wedding couple and all their amazing friends and family!

I had the honor of knowing Lenny and Brissa back in the day when they would take college students to camp at Lost Canyon up North. I have many wonderful memories of spontaneous late night worship in the crisp cold under the beauty of the stars. On their wedding day, a reminiscent spontaneous burst of worship broke out in the middle of the night, right after the speeches and before the cake. The moment, which was already endearing in and of itself, grew all the more meaningful when the group began to sing about rain; the heavens opened up again and shared their pleasure with the lightest, purest, most refreshing sprinkling of rain. It was a delightful confirmation of God’s during grace and presence in the life of this beautiful couple.

Brissa and Lenny, I hope you never forget this wonderful, special, unbelievable day. Your love for your heavenly Father, your family, your friends and each other is truly inspiring, beautiful and marvelous. Much love to you both!
